Tarot FAQs

You’ll get a different answer for this question from everyone you ask. For me it’s a mix of something we don’t have a good name for and the ‘ologies’. That’s it. There’s been so many breakthroughs on how manifestation techniques are rooted in some form of psychology, physiology, etc. in the last few years. Tarot gives you a different perspective, and the ‘ologies’ take over from there. After all, magic is just science we don’t have the answer for yet.

No, and I don’t like that term either. I’m a Reader. Cards, people, situations, and much more. I do not know what the future holds because the future isn’t set. What comes next is a series of choices mixed with something more from beyond us. There is no set path, but I can give insight you may not have readily available to you being too close to the situation.

No. Fortune telling is based on the premise inescapable destinies with no freewill in sight. That’s not what Tarot is. Tarot is storytelling plain and simple. When you read a book, watch a movie, hear a song, it can resonate and give you a new perspective. A new heading that you may not have seen. That’s what Tarot is – opening your narrative to other possibilities.

All the time. The cards aren’t omnipotent and neither is any Reader who is interpreting the cards. On top of that, you may have a question, but the cards may give you an answer that makes no sense. You could try to force it into the slot, write it off, or just forget. Meanwhile, that reading was meant not for your love life but for your family life. Even though your question was for the romantic love that isn’t the answer you received. That’s just how the cards lay.

Tarot is neither accurate nor inaccurate. The Reader is the actual accuracy point and how well they can read. The cards, the client, the situation, and anything they get gifted during the reading from the moment at hand. It’s all how well the Reader’s intuition is to handle the interpretation as well as how the client takes the information. You could be told a career change is heavily implied by the cards, but if you only take that as a whole new job and not just a promotion you are expecting in the next couple of weeks… well, according to you that was an inaccurate reading.

Yes. Personally, a dear friend also reads Tarot on Twitch.tv. Whenever the cards get murky for myself, I will stop into her streams and get a reading there. It’s the same as when she gets to do them for me in person.

Yes! Archives and Youtube have great resources to get you started on your own reading journey. There are also classes available.

However, when reading for yourself, one should always be aware ~ self readings can be difficult. Even now there are times when it’s better to have an outside perspective see the cards without the conscious bias and rationalization. It’s never a bad thing to have someone else double check your work! Especially when you could be too close to the issue.

No and I’m not a Christian so also No. Tarot as we have it today comes from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck which was made in 1909 B.C.E. and is based on card games dating back beyond the 15th century. Due to the time frame, the original deck had symbols rooted in Christianity, but there is nothing evil about the cards. They are meant to be easy to understand the card meaning and that is where the imagery comes from.

For the most part ~ EVERYONE. If you’re someone looking to pull a ‘gotcha’ or ‘prove’ what I do is hokum. I won’t read for you. Those that ‘need’ answers are also not someone I will continue to read for going forward. Otherwise, clients come from all races, ethnicities, LGBTQIA+, socioeconomic situations, etc. Basically don’t be a dick or rely too heavy on my readings, and I’ll read for you.

The short answer for this is maybe but probably not. If it is for a personal reading only and not a group event, it will be discretionary on a case-by-case basis. More often than not it doesn’t happen. Too many energies in a read can come from the sit-in party, but on certain occasions for moral support and in reads with kids, I do encourage sit-ins.

Yes! Bridesmaids parties, birthday celebrations, team building events, corporate events, and so much more. I have a request form you can find over at Bookings. Traveling is always a grand adventure and getting to be apart of large events is always fun!

It depends on timing. If I’m booked solid, I simply will not have the time. If you’re the last client or I have a time block free, happy too. Just please do respect my time.

That depends on each person. How much unraveling do they feel they need? What is going on in their lives? Someone going through major changes will typically seek answers more. However, make sure that your needs are handled before seeking a reading. Food on the table is more important than a reading. That all being said, I have those that ask for readings weekly, monthly, or whenever they blow back in the door!

  • If you are being rude or playing a ‘gotcha’ game, your reading will be terminated instantly. You will not receive a refund and you will be barred from seeking readings down the line.
  • Those presenting under the influence or not fully cognizant will not receive a reading.
  • Do not ask for multiple readings on the same subject. You don’t get to pick and choose your reading.
  • Spiritual psychosis is a real problem in this day and age. If you are coming for a reading for every little thing, you will be barred. You can and should choose your own heading of your own volition.
  • Prices and policies are non-negotiable; if you try to negotiate or haggle, there will be no reading for you. Probably ever.
  • Readings asking for guidance for therapy, legal, medical, or other matters such as death, gambling, paternity, etc. will not be accepted. Please refer to the Disclaimer page.
  • Readings for those under the age of 18 will have to have a parental consent form filled out before the reading.
  • I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
